Russian Exports Center says non-energy exports rise in July–Sept
MOSCOW, Nov 9 (PRIME) – Russia’s non-energy exports have showed positive year-on-year dynamics in July–December after seven consecutive quarters of annual contraction, the Russian Exports Center said in a research note Wednesday.
“After seven consecutive quarters of year-on-year contractions, we’ve noted definite positive dynamics. In monthly terms, the year-on -year growth of exports was registered twice during the quarter – in July and September – and in September it grew by 6%, which is a record result for the past three years,” the research note read.
The center’s calculations, which are based on the customs data, showed that Russia’s non-energy exports grew 8.9% on the quarter and 1.6% on the year to U.S. $27.7 billion in July–September, while in January–September the exports contracted 11.3% on the year to $75.9 billion.
The service said earlier that Russia’s combined exports decreased 22.9% on the year to $202.6 billion in January–September.
